2.Students will then watch the “How Its Made” video about OJ. Ask them how they feel. What are they going to do about it? What gives you the right to do so?
3. Previous video and discussion will lead into the case law example/creation of Tort Law: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evDCHCMRAtc Cartoon of Donoghue v. Stevenson (1932-Scotland)
4. Hand out unit outline including vocab and guiding questions. Give a preview of the unit: Several classes will be spent introducing and transforming knowledge about tort law through notes, skits and games. There will be a field trip to the mall to observe (potential) torts with a short write up explaining a few and how they could have been prevented. A personal injury lawyer will be visiting to share with us about his job and experiences. We will with learning about class action lawsuits by watching the movie Erin Brockovich.

Day Two:
1.Review the concepts of yesterday by playing Hot Seat. A few students take turns trying to guess what is written by the teacher on the board behind them when they are sitting up at the front looking towards the rest of the class. Classmates are to help the student in the hot seat guess the term by supplying the definition. Can not says “rhymes with… etc”
2. Intentional Torts: Gallery Walk - students will need to fill in their sheets with the missing info.
3. Students will complete a skit demonstrating an example of an intentional tort.

1. Go to a spot like the mall and have students walk around and record 5 torts (or potential) torts that they observe. These can be inside or outside but must be on mall property.
