- In groups on the large white boards: What do you already know about Shakespeare? Record quotes, facts, references, any stuff you have have from friends, things that they assume, what do they hear and anything else they know about Shakespeare as fast as possible
- Shakespeare's phrases.
- Watch why Shakespeare still matters.
- Free write: Whats the most complicated love triangle (or square/pentagon etc) that you have ever heard of? Describe it. Include personal experiences (yourself or someone you know), soap operas, movies etc. Then describe the biggest fight you've ever had a parent (or authority person) Discuss.
Lesson Two:
- Have students pick roles and read Act One Scene One and Two. Reading Roles.
- After reading in each scene students will write a summary of events to keep track of the plot.
- Watch Act One of the movie.
- Complete the character map by filling in the missing names.
Lesson Three:
- Pick roles and read Act Two Scene One and Two. Reading Roles.
- Update their scene summaries.
- Watch Act Two of the movie
- Practice creating Shakespearean insults.
Lesson Four:

- Re-write the scene using the format of social media of your picking. Ideas. Past Examples.
