Lesson Three:
- Students will create a One Pager on a historical event in Canada.
- Once completed, they will be printed in colour and put up around the room. Students will take notes from the one pagers, covering 20 events.
- Using those notes, students will create a timeline outlining 15 events that are significant to Canada.
Lesson Five:
- Colonization Road Documentary and Questions: As you have learned, the legacy colonialism continues to have a profound impact on Indigenous people in Canada. The cultural reawakening and revitalization were seeing across Turtle Island speaks to the immense strength and resiliency of Indigenous people. While progress has been made in many areas there are still enormous challenges. Colonization Road is an excellent short documentary that explores colonization and its legacy. Answer Key.
